Dear Readers,
Halo has always been a home to a diverse group of women and LGBTQI people. There’s something really safe about the bond between these groups that creates such a unique and supportive atmosphere.
To honour that, we’re starting this blog - Strength and the City. Yes, that’s a Sex and the City pun, and here’s the twist. Instead of focusing on men, our goal is to celebrate the strength of all the women and LGBTQI people at Halo, in Poblenou and all of Barcelona. We are thrilled to have you here as part of our vibrant community of strong and confident individuals.
Because Halo isn’t just a gym in Poblenou. We’re a community of fabulous individuals who support each other to get stronger, healthier and happier every single day. We want to shout about that, and use our platform to connect with each other, because together we’re even stronger.
Our mission with Strength and the City is to inspire and support local women and LGBTQI people on their personal journeys, while providing engaging, informative, and fun content that speaks directly to you. We want to create a space where you feel empowered, motivated, and excited to embrace physical and emotional strength, and take charge of your physical and mental well-being.
From health and workout tips to insightful interviews with local trailblazers who have transformed their lives or those around them, we aim to showcase the power and resilience within each of you.
Our articles will not only provide reliable, authoritative, and accurate information but also deliver it in a way that's interesting, light-hearted, and enjoyable to read. We want you to have a good time while gaining knowledge and inspiration that will fuel your journey towards strength, self-discovery and personal fulfillment.
As the editor, I’m committed to curating a platform that promotes inclusivity, authenticity, and empowerment. I encourage you to actively participate, bring me your ideas, share your thoughts, and connect with other like-minded folk on similar paths. Together, we can create a positive and uplifting space that inspires and supports one another.
We're here to celebrate your strength, your achievements, and your journey towards being the best version of yourself.
With love and strength,
Steve Brewer
